Launch Movement Experiment was formed in NYC 2005 by Rachel McKinstry and Liz Riga in order to make the dance experience an accessible yet progressive art form of our time. Launch’s work has been presented in NYC at Movement Research at the Judson Memorial Church, Dance Theater Workshop, Dance New Amsterdam, Tisch School of the Arts, University Settlement, Galapagos Arts Space, Triskelion Arts, Snapshot Series @ Bar 13, Solace Bar/Lounge, and Mulberry Street Theater.

Launch Movement Experiment works to promote communication and the awareness of "other" as well as to engage in/inspire anarchic, creative acts whenever possible. Launch is committed to creating/performing work that is ALIVE, breaking down the rigid wall that commonly detaches us from one another; the wall that stops us from asking questions and seeking answers. Launch tries to eliminate the tight grip of expectation by replacing it with improvisation, freedom, risk, evolution, and communication.
